With a Bachelor of Music degree from Cornish College of the Arts and a Master of Music degree from the University of Central Missouri, Anthony’s academic journey has been deeply intertwined with their creative pursuits. Their research focuses on interactive music systems, sound design, and algorithmic composition, utilizing programming environments like Max/MSP and Ableton Live to develop groundbreaking approaches to performance and composition. Through these tools, Anthony explores the dynamic interplay between human expression and machine agency, crafting systems that challenge traditional notions of musicianship and performance.

 

As a performing and touring musician, Anthony has gained extensive experience collaborating across diverse musical styles and settings. They have performed in venues ranging from intimate performance spaces to larger stages, bringing a unique blend of technical expertise and artistic expression to each project. Their practical experience as a guitarist and electronic musician informs their scholarly work, creating a rich feedback loop between theory and practice.

 

Anthony also has a strong background in music education and leadership. They served as the head of the Guitar Program at a private college in Mumbai, India, for three years, where they developed innovative curricula and mentored students in both classical and contemporary music practices. Their commitment to education continues as they prepare to teach two courses in Digital Audio Production at the University of Central Missouri in the upcoming spring semester.
