Anthony Cammarota is a guitarist, composer, and scholar-artist whose work bridges performance, technology, and creative research. An alumni of the Orange County High School of the Arts and Cornish College of the Arts, Anthony has spent years performing and teaching in academic environments, including serving as Head of the Guitar Program at a music school in Mumbai, India, and currently teaching Digital Audio Production at the University of Central Missouri. Anthony's research explores interactive music systems, sound design, and algorithmic composition, with a focus on integrating programming environments like Max and Ableton Live into performance practices. Passionate about redefining traditional instruments and performance modalities, Anthony seeks to create innovative connections between technology and music-making.

Corpseboy Live

Corpseboy, a trio featuring Jeff Kaiser, Keith Wecker, and myself, performed live at Magnolia Mercantile in Warrensburg, Missouri, on September 12, 2024. During this performance, I played guitar processed through Ableton and also engaged with an Ableton Push 3. The music was entirely improvised, evolving collectively in real time.

What Was That, Greta?

A composition created in Max with TouchOSC controlled via an iPad represents a dynamic integration of systems, transforming the iPad into an expressive performance interface. Max serves as the central hub for real-time audio processing, algorithmic composition, and manipulation, while TouchOSC provides a customizable layout that allows for seamless interaction with multiple parameters.
